The Dental Implant Process

The process of getting dental implants at Rockyview Dental Care first involves an initial consultation with a dedicated team member, where we will do a thorough evaluation, with digital imaging, along with a detailed assessment of your oral health, in order to determine if dental implants are the right option for you. For the implant placement, the titanium implant post will be surgically placed into the jawbone while you are under local anesthesia. After placement, the implant will gradually fuse with your jawbone in a process called osseointegration, which can take a few months to complete. Once the implant has fully integrated with the bone, we will then attach an abutment, which is a connecting piece that joins the artificial tooth to the implants, followed by a custom made crown, bridge, or denture, restoring the function and appearance of your teeth.
